For "The Having Said That Show", we developed an interactive product extension that truly belonged to the show’s playful, conversational ethos, not another generic merch item.

The founders wanted something more meaningful than a regular t-shirt or mug. They needed a product that felt interactive, relatable, and fun, something people would actually use and share. It had to work perfectly as both a drinking game and functional coasters, while staying true to the show’s light-hearted spirit without looking overly branded or commercial.

We created a drinking card game that could live as pocket-friendly coasters. The goal was to design something thoughtful and integrated into the show’s world, playful, conversational, and easy to pick up during gatherings.

The illustration style is loose, doodled, and intentionally unpolished — full of humour and personality rather than serious design. We used only the brand’s core colours to keep it connected without heavy branding.
A lot of attention went into the physical details: finding the right material that could be shuffled easily like playing cards, yet sturdy enough to function as coasters. The final size and shape is compact, pocket-friendly, and comfortable to handle.

The Coasters Drinking Card Game became a natural extension of "The Having Said That Show" fun, interactive, and genuinely useful. It’s now developing into multiple editions, proving the idea has strong legs beyond the first run. The product feels like it belongs to the community rather than being forced merch.
